Now Hear the Words of the
Seneschal of the Principality of the Mists
Greeting unto the members of the College of St. David’s,
As many of you may have heard, the College has been put into abeyance. This was not done to punish the College, there are simple not enough paid members to legally maintain a group within the SCA at UC Santa Cruz.
In order to get out of abeyance the group must meet the following requirements:
- The group must have at least five paid members who are also students, faculty, and/or employees of UC Santa Cruz.
- The Group must have at least three officers; a Seneschal, an Exchequer, and one of the following: a Herald, a Marshal, or a Minister of Arts and Sciences.
- The Kingdom Seneschal would also like the group to register as an official UCSC campus club.
While the College of St. David’s is in abeyance, the group will not be able to have a bank account, or run any official SCA events or practices. If the College wishes to run an event or practice they must do so through the Canton of Caer Darth, or the Barony of Darkwood.
I strongly suggest that the members of the College of St. David’s work with both the Barony of Darkwood, and the Canton of Caer Darth to increases their number of paid members and staff the required officer jobs. I will be happy to work with you towards these ends.
